Count me as another customer burned by Kamado with this horrible charcoal. I too was suckered into buying a sample so I could try it for myself. The eBay ad said there was a satisfaction guarantee. I used about half of the box to do a single cook and it was terrible. When I tried to return the product to get my money back, they refused to refund my money, saying I had to return the whole box. These people must be just stupid. How can I try it for myself with a money back guarantee if I have to return it to get the money back? (01/04/08) 5. Kamado had a great product. Their Smoker is great and I have had many years of enjoyment from min. However this company has been a case study in how not to treat your customers.
My last box of try it now just furthers the study in how not to treat your customers. All the problems in the review came complete in my box. I wish someone who knew how to spell customer service would buy Kamado and make it into the high quality company it should be. ƒ¼ (01/03/08) 4. I used up about half the box and discovered all the problems noted in the review. (Why didn't you publish the review sooner and save me from myself?!?) I was going to avail myself of the "satisfaction guarantee" noted in their ad when I discovered that I was only allowed to use a couple of the briquettes when I tried it for myself. Heck, "try it yourself" to me means that you at least could use enough of it to cook something! So, as appears to be usual with this company, their "satisfaction" guarantee turns out to be worthless. I would never buy charcoal from these clowns ever again. I tried it for myself and thank goodness it only cost me $15 to find out what it is like. I really pity the fool who buys this junk in any quantity. (12/21/07) 2. Very very short burn time. Produces unbelievable amount of ash. The briquettes break easily.
